Yellow weather warning for rain extended

The Met Office has extended the yellow weather warning for rain for today

Key Information:

The warning area covers whole of the Scottish Borders

Warning now runs from midnight until 7pm

Between 15-25mm of rain is expected widely

Over southern Scotland a few places may receive 40-60mm

Risk of flooding to homes and businesses and the possibility of interruptions to power supplies

Rain is expected to become lighter later on Thursday morning before turning heavy again in the afternoon

Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer

Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
